Privacy policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and how it's handled.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how COMMIT ("COMMIT," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects the information you share with us when you visit commit-clothes.com, place an order, or contact us. We're a small independent brand — we collect only what's needed to run the business and never sell your data.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information directly from you in two situations:

  • When you place an order — your name, email address, and shipping address, collected and processed through our payment processor, Stripe. COMMIT never sees or stores your full card number; Stripe handles that securely on its own systems.
  • When you contact us — the name, email address, and message you submit through our contact form, sent to us via our email delivery provider, EmailJS.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To process and ship your order, and send you an order confirmation and receipt.
  • To respond to questions, support requests, or return/exchange requests.
  • To resolve issues with an order — lost packages, damaged items, etc.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of trusted third-party services to run the site, and your information is only shared with them to the extent needed to provide their service to us:

We don't currently use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on this site. If that changes, we'll update this policy.

5. Cookies

Our site does not set its own tracking or advertising cookies. Stripe may set cookies as part of processing your payment securely at checkout — this is covered under Stripe's own privacy policy.

6. Data Retention

We keep order and contact information for as long as needed to fulfill orders, handle returns or disputes, and meet our own recordkeeping and legal obligations. You can request that we delete your information at any time, subject to section 8 below.

7. Children's Privacy

COMMIT is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.

8. Your Rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing supportatcommit@gmail.com. We'll respond as quickly as we can. Note that we may need to keep certain order records for legal or accounting purposes even after a deletion request.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the business grows or our tools change. Updates take effect once posted here, and the "last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
